How can I stop an anxiety attack?

I have tried slow steady breathing, however, that is hard when you can't really breathe

you need to focus on whats happening to your body, you say in your question you cant really breathe, this just keeps the anxiety going, you can breathe fine if you just focus and concentrate. if you are able to sit down then do so, then try and focus on the rest of your body tensing and then relaxing individual muscles will help you relax more
I have both panic attacks and anxiety disorder
it is hard to try and relax when you cant breath I have felt like I was going to die with a panic attack
you should see your Dr. you may need something to help you get it under control
I also know you dint know how it feels unless you have had them Ive been like this with some other things for a long time
