5yr old nephew lives out of state mother took him to doc white bumps u/arm doc said carrier hpv?
what strain could this be? Mother has hpv, 24 found out 2 mths ago, son is five found out today, is it cancerous in males
Answers:
Human papilloma virus should be identified by blood antibody tests. Also on the basis of just looking at it one can not say it is papilloma virus. It causes warts and the white bumps could be just any viral infection or psoriasis if it is shiny meaning it could be a primary skin disease.
As far is question concerned is it cancerous in males there is no evidence as yet in males to be contributing to cancer. in females it does contribute to cervical cancer.
I'm going to say yes..only because HPV is the leading cause of cancer in
women. Men I have never heard of this. On an arm , etc.I don't know.sorry.
a lot of people have white bumps on their upper arms..i do, my kids do, my mom did..it is due to the blockage of hair follicles.
not sure if there is something else the doc is looking at or if this is a sign, but many many folks have blocked hair follicles.
good luck
