brown skin lesions on legs only, said to be related to diabetes, do not have this.why have these appeared?

sometimes lesions are itchy and painful. Worried they may ulcerate in later years. Docters can give me no valid reason why these have appeared. Can you help?

No one can give you a correct answer how ever much descriptive info you put on here. One will need to see the lesion in the flesh and take a history from you before one can make a formal diagnosis. If you don't trust your doctor/gp then see another one.

If you have uncontrolled or poorly managed diabetes your circulation is not as good as it should be. Hence the lesions. And if you don't control your diabetes better, they will get worse and probably never go away. This is why so many people who don't take care of their diabetes end up having limbs amputated.
could be related to your liver, or just hereditary.

ask the doctor to test you for liver diseases. (hbv, hcv) NASH.

good luck!
Please see the webpages for more details on Diabetic foot. The discolorisation of the foot may be due to poor circulation of the blood.
For a correct diagnosis, a biopsy would be necessary. You say you do not have diabetes have you been checked for diabetes?
There are many possibilities including eczema planus, circulation disorders, liver disfunction, skin cancer, - the list goes on. If you cannot get a satisfactory opinion from your doctor, see another GP for a second opinion or get referred to a skin Specialist (your doctor cannot refuse the latter).
