my fiancee works construction and he was around gas and carbon monoxide all day. he says that he has had a head ache for about 2 to 3 hours along with dizziness and nausea. i know that if the symptoms last for a long period of time it can be fatal. he wont go to the hospital. he has only had the symptoms for about 2 to 3 hours. should he wait longer or should he go now!! he is out of town and i am not there otherwise i would take him.

It would be best to see a doctor. However, since he is removed from the toxic area now, and in fresh air, the headache and nausea will probably clear with no complications. If for no other reason, he should see a doctor to document this problem, in case he has continuing illness and needs to collect workman's compensation.
