How long can this cough last?
How long should a cough last at the most?
Answers:
Depends on the cause. simple cold, maybe 1-2 weeks. ACE inhibitor, chronic, dry cough. pneumonia, productive cough of nasy sputum, fever. CHF chronic dry cough. Asthma, periodic bouts of relentless coughing. Talk to the doc. He'll figure it out.
Depends if it is a chronic cough lasting over 2 weeks you should get it checked out..If you smoke STOP.. I did best thing I ever did..You should get it checked for your piece of mind as well..Take care
Definitely check with a doctor if it's been more than 2 weeks.
I've had lingering coughs last for 4-5 weeks (long after all other cold/flu symptoms were long gone) but that's what I get for relying on natural remedies and bed rest instead of antibiotics.
Cough in most cases subside within 2-3 weeks
but acn persist beyond if u have post nasal drip
I have had coughs for 3 weeks and didn't need medical attention. I'd say as long as the mucus isn't making it hard to breathe you are fine. I would try to stay away from milk,it makes mucus worse.
