For most people HPV DOES go away on it's own, but for some it does not. Even if a person is able to get rid of it, they can always contract it again from someone else.

The people who usually can not get rid of it are the ones who have a strain that causes warts or cancer.

In other words, yes it can clear up on its own. But for some women, the virus does spread. There are many types of HPV, some causes warts and others can cause cervical cancer. it never goes away, u can clear the symptoms but not the virus itself. see a doc for more info.
its not an std,first of all every woman carries Hpv and no it wont just go away its a cancer and yes you have to have your doctor scrap it out i know my best friend just went through this youll be okay..
