After having a mole removed, how long does it take to recover?
I was told that it heals faster if its on the face. Anyone who had a mole removed from their face, shed some light?
thanks
Answers:
The recovery time wil ldepend on the size and depth that was removed -- the larger an area that has to be healed, the longer the recovery time is.
I've had burst blood vessels in the neck (from dialated lymph glands --they look like moles but they are something else) opened, the capillaries burned shut, and then sutured so thoroughly and well that after ythe sutures were removed there were no visible scars. 11 done in this manner. But it took WEEKS of itching for that to happen.
There will be some itching or twitching or pain because there are so many nerve endings in the facial area.
What are you feeding it. Plenty of worms and it should be fine in a few days.
my friend had it removed from the face and it took about 3 weeks to heal but still there's a little red scar, it's not that the mole just disappeared without a trace
not on my face but on my abdomen. It took about a week for it to heal and i could be confortable. My husband had one taken off his face and it was about a week as well.
I had one on my earlobe and it took a couple weeks to heal up, you can not even tell it was there now. The doctor actually went deeper than skin level, since he said it would grow back out some during healing, it is now just a flush area. I guess that comes from experience, to be able to remove and have it heal like it was not there.
not sure about recovery time, but please make sure it was tested for cancer. my husbands aunt died of melanoma because her mole wasnt tested and before she knew the cancer had spread. at least her kids got some settlement money
It usually doesn't once they remove it, it's usually dead.
It's different with different people. I had one removed from my hand and it took 2 months to heal up but I'm a slow healer. Don't worry, it'll be fine. Just keep it clean.
um wait shouldnt your doctor have told you all this information
if not
BAD DOCTOR!!
you mean healing? hardly a week but normal pigmentation will take time depends upon involvement of surface(size) and layer, may be 3 weeks to 3 month, also don't forget sun protection.
scalp and face are highly vascular area so definitely healing will be fast but don't confused normal healing and normal pigmentation are different .
