Hey fellow diabetics, I wanted to share something with you. I found a product that I think really works in normalizing blood sugar with absolutely no side-effects that can be taken with present medication. I went to CVS yesterday and picked up a product called DiaChrome which is a multi-supplement strickly for diabetics. Anyway, I wanted to test it, so at the time I took my sugar reading and it was like at 174 because I'd just finished eating a meal like an hour earlier. Well I went out with a friend shortly thereafter to the movies and had a small bag of non-butter popcorn and some water, 2 hours later when the movie was over, I took my reading again and it was at 105. I just wanted to mention this because for those that didn't know about this product it just may actually work.

I'm not surprised. I've found about 6 supplements that help tremendously. Here's my findings:

For type I and type II diabetics (and those who could potentially become diabetic).

I've found a wonderful book that will help you control your diabetes and minimize or even eliminate the complications. Some folks who became diabetic due to poor diet and obesity are effectively cured by following the advice in this book. I'm a type II (inherited), but it helps all types, especially those who became diabetic due to poor eating habits. It's by an author who has really done his homework, Patrick Quillin, Phd. I have tried his suggestions and found them to be very helpful. I have no complications whatsoever and my blood sugar levels are quite stable. Yes, I still have to take Metformin (Glucophage) daily, but it's the minimum dosage (500mg) and I only have to take it twice a day. I have been off Metformin for as much as a week, but this was with vigorous exercise. Many, what I call, non-hereditary type IIs (those that don't have a close relative who had it) have gotten off medication completely, just with diet, exercise, and supplements. So, in some instances, it most certainly can be 'effectively' cured.

The book explains what's going on in our system and what to do about it. It's really easy and inexpensive. It's basically diet, supplements and exercise. For example, did you know that cinnamon helps blood sugar absorption? It also controls cholesterol and triglycerides. This is according to the USDA:

i will have to try that i am currently taking metformin byetta and actos i like byetta it curbs ur appetite and i took my bs and found that my sugars were at the lowest they have been in years

Don't know about that certin product but I do know you have to be careful with chromium picolinate(hope spelled right). I am 40 and have had diabetes now for 35 years. I have tried lots of things. The chromium works to lower cravings so you don't over eat or crave sugar..that is good. but it can also send you into insulin shock very easy and fast. Please check your sugars often and don't skip meals while taking it. watch exersise activities closely.
