2 year old wakes with misquito like bumps that itch..Not bed bugs. What is it?

Itchy bumps like misquito bits, she gets them sometimes at night.
Like a misquito is sleeping in bed with her. She had this once before about 2 months ago. I checked for bed bugs but nothing!

I spent the night with a friend when I was a kid and she woke up in the middle of the night covered with bumps and crying. They were really itchy. Turns out they were hives. Try benadryl.

It could be dust mites. I would vacum the mattress very good and put some type of mattress cover on it. Also, pillow covers as well.
the baby could be allergic to the sheets or something
Go to a skin specialist. Children have very sensitive skin. It could be some food they are eating or maybe something more serious.
anything from fleaas on pets to chiggers from the yard could have caused this. give her a good bath before bed and inspect her sheets before you tuck her in. sooth the itches with calming lotion or a natural itch repellent found in stores.
Bed bugs, dust mites, maybe an allergic reaction to something you started using recently
Go to your doctor and ask them about it, she could have scabies from someone sleeping in her bed or her sleeping in somone elses bed!

could it be something she has taken or something you have used with sulphur in it?

i think the best thing u shud do is, if u can dry the mattress and the pillows outside the sun for a few hours. it is believe all the dust mites, or bugs will get killed due to heat.
take to doctor could be scabies.if so use 100% tea tree oil!all natural
I still bet it is bed bugs. They are difficult to detect particularly in daytime, unless you really know what to look for. I got bitten by bedbugs at a high end resort in Disneyworld, and complained and they said they looked, but I kept getting bit. Made hubby and daughter sleep in the other bed. Never had that before or since.

Bedbugs have made a huge resurgence recently.
