I have PINK EYE!! What can i do about work?

I have to work tomorrow and i've had pink eye for 2 days already, my eyes are better but still watery and burning (i am on prescribed medication). How can i get them 100% by 4 o'clock tomorrow? SOOOO miserable!
Answers:    Don't be selfish, stay home you don't need to spread the pink eye to anyone else so they can't go to work. You have to think about everyone when you have pink eye.
try some eye drops
If your get medication, pink eye should only be contagious for a day. So depending on when you started taking your medicine, you should be non-contagious tommorow. Theres no way to get 100% in a day.
you cant - dont go to work b/c pink eye is extremely contagious - stay away from people!
Because pinkeye is contagious I would recommend calling your dr in the a.m. to their after hours line to get an opinion on this about going back to work.
First, try to talk to your boss and see if he can give you the night off. Or ask another co-worker if they would switch with you.

To heal the eye put a damp wash-cloth on it and if all else fails call your doctor. Hope you get better!
Pink Eye

The leading cause of a red eye is virus infection. Viral pink eye symptoms and signs are usually associated with more of a watery discharge, not green or yellow in color, and is frequently associated with viral "cold-like" symptoms. The eyelids may be swollen. Sometimes looking at bright lights is painful. While viral pink eye may not require an antibiotic, those affected should see a doctor, as occasionally this form of pink eye can be associated with infection of the cornea, (the clear portion of the front of the eyeball). This infection must be correctly detected and treated. Viral pink eye is highly contagious. Viral pink eye usually resolves in seven to ten days after symptoms appear.
There's no real way to clear it up within 24 hours. However, you can't spread pink eye if your on medication. If you want your eyes to appear a bit healthier, try to get at least 8-10 hours of sleep. Sleep increases circulation through the eyes and allows your immune system to function at it's fullest.

And if your co. workers care enough about you, they'll leave you alone. And if not, it gives you all the more reason to tell them what pink eye does (just to scare them)
You have to stay home. You will infect not only the staff, but your customers as well.
If you can, get a doctor's note saying that you are unable to work. They can't fire you if you do.
I would say call in sick if you get paid for sick days. The best relief is to close your eyes and lay down with a very warm, moist facecloth on top of your eyes. That will give you some relief. Throw out mascara and eyeliner you have been using (if any) as they would be contaminated. If you have someone nearby, they could bring you warm, clean moist facecloths when the one you have on gets cold.
Ask your eye doctor how long you will be contagious and have him write a note saying you will be out of work for those days. You cant go to work in a restaurant while having a contagious virus.
Pink eye is typically a bacterial infection but is also viral. If bacterial, it is easily cureable after issued an antibiotic. You need to see a optometrist or an ophthamologist ASAP to get it cleared up.

If you work in the food industry, especially, you shouldn't go to work as pink eye is highly contagious. You should remain at home until the bacterium has been cleared up.
wash your eye in borasic acid and wear some tinted glasses
Definitely agree with 'hotpants' and 'sunshine'...Provide your boss with proof of a Dr's letter stating your 'pink eye' requires some time off. Ask for changes of shift with someone else to another week or 2 to be safe.

Your boss should NOT BE that GREEDY!

Good luck, my friend!
