Glioblastoma Mulitforme?

I recently was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Mulitforme due to my frequent headaches.Its a malignant tumor in your brain.I was wondering if any of you have more info on this, or know anyone who has it.

Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) is a high grade glioma which is an aggressive type of brain tumor. It maybe diagnosed by MRI based on its characteristic appearance on scans, but requires tissue biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. Tissue pathology can yield data in the prognosis of the disease, and studies have shown that a gross total resection may be important in the treatment of this disease, especially when patients develop symptoms that require immediate intervention.

Treatment of GBMs will generally involve radiation therapy to the brain, and chemotherapy as an adjuvant therapy has been shown to improve outcome and survival. A multi-disciplinary approach to treatment including neurosurgery, radiation oncology and medical oncology is important in achieving the best possible outcome. Good luck!

The only way to check for a multiforme is to have a biopsy a brai n tumor. if you have frequent headaches then that will not pinpoint anything. if a physician told you this he is an idiot.
Have you had surgery to try to remove as much of the tumor as possible yet? There are chemotherapy agents available to treat this some are IV, more recently a drug called Temodar which is a pill has been approved for use. You may also see a Radiation Oncologist to talk about radiation to the brain. I have some links below to some site with general info to get you started.

You should get a PET/Ct scan to localize tumors and look for of area mets such as bone, lungs, or lymph system.
