Fingernails and toenails tend to harden and darken naturally with many people as they get older. Some say that this could be caused by a calcium deficiency or nail fungus. What is the best product or remedy for this problem besides taking oral medicine?
Answers:
Funnily enough, I would suggest toothpaste.
I use an old toothbrush, brush my nails with toothpaste, and sometimes as a treat I slather on some inexpensive lotion and put on a pair of cotton socks, and leave on overnight. Obviously for my hands I dont do the last bit, but it works a treat on feet!!
Hope this helps!!
soaking in water to soften and rub with some hand and foot cream
