Help paying for medical bills.?
A friend of mine had a pancreas transplant b/c of diabetes complications, and was doing great until he had a heart attack a few weeks ago. It was minor, but now the new organ is not working and he will need another transplant. The hospital wont do it until he can get more insurance or pay off what he already owes. He's on disability and dosent work and welfare and the charity at the hospital said that disability pays him too much to get any assistance. can you help me find a gov website or PA state website that I can apply for assistance for him? I've tried to look and cant find any help. thanks.

Patients Advocat - I don't know the exact site, but google it. They have funds available to help with medical bills.
He should talk with his personal physician, who can probably give him information on where he can get assistance.
You should try to find an online resource for him. Good luck.

It there any Center for the Independent Living offices. They are suppose to help people who has a Diability. They help find funding, housing, and other things. Plus help with GRANTS for people who need them. I live in KS and I know about these things cuz I used to work there in Garden City. I can give you the director email addy maybe he knows someone in your area.
