ringworm it wont go away some sores are getting better but I keep getting new ones .?

Been treating them with lamosil, washed my bedding several times. What to do now ? Cant really afford a doctor.

Answers:
It can take a good month, month and half to get rid of it. It is quite a nuisance. I have been treating my daughter for 3 weeks now and the doctor says to wait another 3-4 weeks to see if it clears.if not she will prescribe her a prescription strength cream.

believe it or not use vicks vapo rub & the nasty lil bugger will go away. only a few dollars & it will b gone. try it. cheaper than docs & costly preparations from docs.
There use to be something over the counter called PRESCRIPTION 3D.
Go and ask the Pharmacy.
Ring worm usually comes from cats or dogs.If they stay in house or sleep on bed, thats where you are getting them or kids with them and passing them on to you.Check drugstore for med specifically for ringworm.
Keep treating it. It make take months to get it gone.
It will spread very easily and you just have to keep treating it.
The cream from the doctor will not work much better than the over the counter stuff.
Good luck.
Ihad this and I did not have a dog or a cat and I understand that it takes a long time to clear. Hove you tried Lotrimin? It will work
ringworm is a virus sometimes takes a long time to heal, in some cases oral medication is necessary do you have a free clinic in ;your area?
You need a prescription (or maybe your doctor has samples) for Mentax ointment. It really works. And quickly, too. Takes about 5 - 7 days.
LOTRIMIN and my doc says you can get them from going barefooted anywhere
an old doctor told me once that iodine works. the kind in the bottle with the little applicator. i tried it on my son and it worked
Try "Blue Star Ointment" it is thick like Vaseline, but has medicine in it to kill ringworm and many other types of skin irritations. Use a cotton swab to apply so you don't contaminate the bottle and cover with a band-aid. should start clearing up right away.
You may also try another type of anti-fungal medication. Look in the athlete's foot department, and read the active ingredients to be sure your not getting the same medication by a different name.
