Angiograms?
I have had 3CABG twice, AAA , 3 Angiograms last one in 1995 , is it safe to have a 4th Angiogram , will there be existing scar tissue to complicate things ? .If I was not considered suitable for angioplasty in 1995 is it possible that I could be suitable now . ?

You will have no problems with the angiogram itself assuming you don't have a dye allergy or kidney trouble. The challenge will be with whether or not they can find anything that can be treated. That depends on the vessels that were treated in the past as well as the condition of what you have left to work with. Is it safe to have.yes. Scar tissue? Probably not since it's been 11 years. Hope this helps. Jeff the nurse in Nashville.
I've had 3 in the last year alone, and will probably have more in the future to measure my mean pulmonary arterial BP. The angiogram is only the diagnostic tool, if your blockage is too great for angioplasty to work, then I don't know if time or drugs will have changed that.
Not sure about the scarring issue with a CABG, but I don't think it would be a problem since the catheter is so small for an angiogram.

Please see the webpages for more details on Coronary angiography. You may obtain a second medical opinion on the subject.
yes, angiograms don't always have to be in thr groin, they can use the arm, neck or other points , the right groin is just easier for th Dr.
