Men and HPV?
if a man has slept with a woman unprotected and she had hpv, will he always be a carrier of hpv?
Answers:
Yes he will have it forever, even with no symptoms. Also you can get it just from skin to skin so condoms aren't very helpful in protecting against it.
I am not sure, I would be careful. I know a guy who had slept with a girl who had HPV and he developed warts from it. He had them removed but there is always a chance that he can get them back or pass them on to someone else. I believe there is a vaccine for women now to help prevent HPV, speak to your gynocologist about your concerns.
if he is infected, yes, he will always be a carrier
HPV, like many viruses, never goes away. He might be asymptomatic, in that he may not have any warts, but he will always carry it.
Yes and it is possible for him to spread it. HPV effects 75% of all sexually active men and women in their lifetime!! And most people don't even know they have it!!
