after the 1 year treatment hep c .is he cured. or still contages?

just need some honest advice.so confused and scared.

you will not know if you have a sustained viral response for at least a year post antiviral chemotherapy.

as for being contagious, you are only contagious if there is blood to blood transfer.

i dont think hep c is a curable disease? treatment if probably for pain? try asking a doctor
There is no cure for hep C. Just stop gap measures. Don't think for one second you won't catch from him
Oh, he will never be cured. He will always be contagious in blood and body fluids. Hep C is stronger (lives longer outside the body) than AIDS. He feels better under treatment and is stable, but this will be a life-long disease. Take care, use protection. And always have a germicidal cleaner on hand for accidental blood drops on your counters etc.

Once you have Hep C you have it for life. It is transmitted by contact with blood/bodily fluids (direct cotact, sharing needles, unprotected sex, etc). It can live for days outside the body, and most cleaners will not kill it.
