am plagued with hand eczema any one got any cures please .?

i tried steroids but they made my skin go wrinkly the best safe cream i use is hemp which you can buy in the body shop! Expensive but worth it!

that is a curse, I get it on pointer finger, best thing to treat is steroid creams, over the counter or prescription,

try to find out what triggers it, mine is stress

doctors by son has eczema behind his leg and he itches it and makes it bleed i am thinking about getting him boxing gloves so and get to it.lol go to the doctors as it can get you down.
Go to your local health food shop and talk to someone, they will also know of a homeopathist that will be able to help you.
eczema is atopic condition with allergic component.Topical steriods can help.see ur dermatologist

I fixed mine by eating a high fibre diet. Doing a colon cleanse helped too. There are creams for it, but they only work as long as you use them.& then not too well.
Get into the ocean..the ocean water will heal it

I found diet really helped mine. Steer clear of heavily processed food, refined flour. So, brown rice all the way.

According to my reading, ezcema is one of the conditions that is caused by Candida - yeast. Check out www.hufa.org for some basic information on yeast syndromes.

Yogurt - the acidophilous bacteria - helps to control yeast. You can try some directly on you hands, or eat it. Use the plain, unsweetened no fruit yogurt.
Page 132 in Adelle Davis's Let's Get Well deals with the myriad nutritional deficiencies that can cause eczema. Murray's Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine recommends: Vitamin A 5000 units per day (Unless pregnant!), Vit E 400 IU per day, Zinc piccolinate 45-60 mg daily til better, Quercetin, grape seed extract, Green Tea extract, or Gingko biloba; EPA and DHA and evening primrose oil. The book gives a good discussion and clear details on how to take all this good stuff. I usually recommend a good multivitamin, EFA complete (swansonvitamins.com), and Simicort cream (Enzymatic Therapy).
is it eczema or dermatitis, i ask because my doc treated my eczema for years.. turned into dermatitis.. i have a soap allergy.washing powder, detergents, and worst of all the new fairy liquid.and shower gel, and certain shampoos.. all did the same thing, my hands would go red, blotchy and great slabs of skin would peel off, sometime with blisters, sometime without.

so, i dont wash up, ( I bought the wife a dish washer) i dont do washing shes got a zanussi.. even when i shower i have to be careful what soaps and detergents i use. non scented, not coloured, and no more than once a day.

it took around a week or so for my hands to settle down.and now i wear rubber gloves if im on a dirty oily job.. and i wash my hands once a day.this may sound gross, but the scabs and sores are a nightmare.it also itches and burns. weeps, and suppurates. and quite frankly its embarrasing.

ears for example, if i were slack and didnt wash all the soap from all the little folds in the ear, within hours my whole ear would be raw and weeping as teh skin sloughed away. and suddenly washing only once a day doesnt seem so bad does it.

I had ecezema all over my face , arms, and neck, when I had a staph infection due to artificial nails. What I used was CORTAID ADVANCED and it cleared right up. Even though sometimes I get my occasional flar-ups of eczema I use it. A word of advice: Don't use Dermarest for Eczema it doesn't work. And it stings and burns when you have it on your face.
My dad had eczema and he then found out that he was diabetic. He cut out his sugar intake. In tea, coffee etc and stopped eating choclate and cake. His eczema cleared up. My brother done the same as he had it as well and his cleared as well
