For those who have diabetes, does red meat, turkey, or fish affect you negatively?

red neat is never a good thing with diabetes,but all white meats are the better way to go.
i love the red meats to but it can couse the blood to rise a bit high where the white meats can make you feel a little bit better.
or should i say safer.

I've not personally experienced that problem but the diabetics I know, including myself, all seem to have a particular food(s) that for some reason really impacts their blood sugar.

You should monitor what else you're eating at the same time since that could be what's affecting it more than the meat/fish. Different food combinations can also affect how quickly you absorb carbs. For example, because fats are harder for your body to digest, if you eat something high in fat in addition to carbs then you will likely see a delay in the post-meal high level.
Not at all. In fact, I find that my blood sugar tends to stay lower when I stick to lean proteins of the variety you mention than if I were to ingest a lot of carbs.
