2nd toe longer than the big toe question?

My wifes 2nd toe is longer then her nig toe. Is this abnormal? I tell her it looks funny and not to wear open toe shoes. Her 2nd toe looks as if it would rub the ground when she wears open toed shoes. It is very unappealing. Is there anything she can do about this. She said that she keeps the toe nail longer on the toes on either side of her second toe longer, and the nail shorter on her 2nd toe. This seems to help a little in the apperance department, but it is still long. Sorta looks like a raw peanut sticking out there.

The second toe being longer is normal. and I want to say get over it. You married the woman not the toe.
This is perfectly normal, actualy both of my daughters have the same problem, and my mothers toes are uneven also..it's genetics often..there isn't much that can be done about it..it's really not that big of a deal..it's one of those things you just have to live with.
Dude, if your wife's toes are all you have to worry about, then you're doing pretty good. Get over it.
It's not uncommon. This is called "Morton's Toe" or "metatarsus atavicus" and about 10% of people worldwide have it.
No, not necessarily and what can she do about it. I guess you could ask a podiatrist if she can have her toes docked!! I know how that is, though. However, my toes are tiny so it's not quite as noticeable. It means we are bossy. Maybe she'll have to give up open toed shoes and flip-flops so you don't have to look at them.

This is completely normal. Everyones' hands and feet are almost as individual as our fingerprints.
