Help with losing weight.?

I am 13 years old, about 5’5, and about 180 lbs. I want to lose between 40 and 50 lbs. by the beginning of September, with about 20 pounds gone by June. How can I accomplish these goals in a safe way? (Incidentally, I had very unhealthy eating habits as a younger kid, and I have found that I lose weight fairly easily.) Please be specific about any diets, exercises, etc. Thanks in advance. =)

You are to young to go on an instense diet.. what you need is a change in lifestyle.. try this..
First thing- don't change how much you eat (unless it is WAY WAY to much), start out by changing what you are eating. If it comes in a diet option, try it. If you are drinking 1% milk, try skim (or the next percentage down), avoid juice (liquid calories are way to easy to consume and hard to get rid of).

Second thing- Watch out for when you are eating these things, often times it is better to have smaller meals and snack throughout the day.

Third thing- NEVER EAT FAST FOOD. It is essentially a slow acting poison on your body and can lead to more health problems than you can think of.

Fourth thing- if you don't exercise, start out going for walks in the park or somehting, then bring it up to a light jog (once you are comfortable), then slowley bring up the intensity.

Fifth thing- Evaluate everything you put in your mouth, (i.e. avoiding higher fat meats like ribs, pork.. try fish instead or dear or chicken... then general meat rule is that the fewer legs it had as an animal, the better it is for you). Also, think about what goes into you ask yourself, "Should I be eating this?"

Sixth thing- You don't have to be doing all this 100% of the time, treat yourself, but recognize your priorities when it comes to it and don't let "treating yourself" get out of hand.
Ive tried lots of things but never stayed commited to any...hope fully u will stay on task but its easy really, just get healthy foods that are at least edible and have taste like the obvious-fruits and vegetables...also running or biking etc get you in shape! but if u slip on task no worry just try try again!!!:)

eat oatmeals everyday, it don't matter when just eat oatmeals to fill you up if hungry, cut out junk food, no sodas,. no beers

dont' exercise, instead keep track of food you eat, eat half of what you used to eat, and you can eat as much oatmeal as you want, and go for long walks, start with 30 mins, then work your way up to 1hr per day, just walk thats all you have to do to lose weight
go to www.mypyramidtracker.gov and find out what your recommended calorie intake is with gradual weightloss(after you answer questions it will tell you) and cut that by 1 or 200 calories, I have been doing this for 3 weeks and have lost 15lbs!!! when you go to the website each day you can log in what you have eaten and it will tell you how many calories you have consumed!! I bet if you added exercise it would increase quite a bit!! good luck!!
You are still very young so you should not attempt any crazy diet or anything since your body is still growing. For you, I would suggest just trying to eat healthier and when you have a meal, maybe leave a little on your plate. That is an easy way to cut portions. Make sure that you consume GOOD carbs such as oatmeal, bread with lots of grains and fiber, whole wheat pasta, etc... have lots of fresh fruit and veggies, and lean proteins. Have a moderate workout schedule, maybe walking in the morning. That should do it! Good luck!
I was a chubby kid growing up. I lost my extra weight when I started eating properly. I started eating 6 small meals spread out through the day. This way you make it easier for your body to burn efficiently. You're exercise routine need not be difficult. you can start by walking and stretching, and remember, it's better to move around than stand still, to stand than sit, and sit than to lie down.
