You could be causing your body to" dump" your minerals, like potassium,, What size is the glass? If you are taking in 2 to 4, 8oz.or more every hour, that could be to much. Go to your DOCTOR asap. If you "Dump" your minerals you can get yourself into big trouble. Have your thyroid and sugar checked to rule out Graves Disease(thyroid disorder) and Diabetes.. Take care of yourself.. Best Wishes
You could have diabetes insipidus. This has nothing to do with insulin or sugar. (Which is diabetes MELLITUS, and what the other responses are referring to, since it is much more common, but probably not what you have)
Diabetes Insipidus is when your pineal gland, or hypothalamus, or something like that stops producing a hormone called ADH; anti-diuretic hormone. This is supposed to regulate your kidneys rate of water re-absorbtion, so you would pee about 1L per day. Without it, you may pee 20L per day, and would have to replace it by drinking that much water. See your doc, ER even. ASAP
go to your doc and ask him to test you for diabeties, and i know i mispelled that
there is such a thing as drinking TOO MUCH water..
your sodium and potassium levels can drop to the point where it's dangerous to your health!!
what going on with you though.sounds like diabetes...you should talk to your doctor
Consult a doctor for a diabetes test.
This was how I found out I had it.
Same symptoms as you
If you are on some medication that would explain it. They are side effects of most meds. If you are not taking meds then go to the doctor to find out what is wrong.
That's too much water.Put a sprinkle or two of salt in the water, and cut back to half, on the quantity.
It's serious. You might be waterlogging yourself. You could keel over like sometimes happens with marathon runners.
This kind of thirst can be an early symptom of diabetes. I think you should consult a doctor.
thats a symptom of diabetes, get it checked out hun.
You may need to see Dr. - Do you drink any alcohol the night before? - that could be your problem. If you have an average healthy lifestyle (no EXCESSIVE alcohol or drugs -like alot!) then you need to be checked for diabetes. Don't know your age, sex, background, family history, etc. but what you've said is a main side effect.
