I am out of shape & I would like 2 get back into shape and lose weight?

Here are some things that have worked for me .
1. Eat three nutritious meals and three snacks everyday. Cut out junk food.
2. Drink lots of water - at least 8 big glasses as day. Stop drinking soda.
3. Begin a simple weight lifting program at home. Ordinary household items (tins of soup, for example) can serve as weights for beginners.
4. Buy yourself a pedometer and aim for 10,000 steps a day.
5. Record everything you eat and all you exercise to make sure you have a "calorie deficit". Two of the sites I've included will help you do that.
6. Park at the back of the parking lot instead of close to the door. Always use stairs - never the elevator or escalator.
7. A mini stepper is an easy piece to equipment to have at home and gives great results. I bought mine at a second hand store for $4.

Running is by far the best exersise. also try biking which can also be fun at the same time.. listen to music it helps you do your exersise longer

enroll yourself to a gym and have a personal trainor. They usually take care of everything that should be done to loose weight and get you into the shape you've always wanted. It's hard work and need lots of determination, but if you have the will, you'll sure to get what you want.
If you are serious about it, the easiest way (by far trust me) is to hire a trainer. I messed around for years excersizing wrong and got nowhere (except surgery on my knee) It seems expensive, but in the long run it is cheaper.
Join a sport or excersise-dance class, it really helps. 1st of all, if you're honest and don't skip practices and classes, then you'll be able to manuever of procrastinating your exercise. Also, you'll meet a lot of cool people, it'll be a fun experience. I hope this helps you.
To let you know.. crash diets, fad diets, trillions of sit-ups, and popping pills (diet pills) will do little to nothing for you when it comes to losing weight. The only thing that works is the age old diet and exersize. Lift weights, do cardio (running, biking, walking, swimming, yoga, pilates, it doesn't really matter) and lower your calorie intake by a couple of hundred calories (sounds like a lot, but really it isnt). When you first start out.. don't push yourself because people say "you need at least 30 minutes". Do as much as you can. If you can only do it for 15 minutes then slowly work your way up. If you push yourself too hard.. you'll probably injure yourself.

eat every three hours starting early 6 or 7am. work out for 45 min. every day, my favorite is walking, 3 miles everyday. drink lotsa lotsa lotsa water and or green tea! do squats with or without weights. i'm doing all this and have lost a surprising amount of post baby-just turned 30 weight when nothing else was working before
Cardio! People think you can target exercise, but it's not very helpful. If you want great abs, butt, etc. You have to run your butt, abs, etc. off. Running, swimming, dancing, bicycling, hiking, and jumping on a trampoline are the kinds of activities you need to be doing. You should also look into pilates. This will elongate your muscles and make you even more firm.
Ditch all the crap that you eat. Eat healthily.
Go swimming for at least an hour a day.
There's nothing more to it.
