Aerobics to lose weight?
I was thinking of losing weight via taking aerobics class. Does anyone know whether it'll help? That's my only source of exercising.

of course it will help because its a physical activity and physical activity burns calories.However be sure to add in strength training because muscle weighs more then fat,and the more muscle you have the more calories and fat you burn off.It also helps with bone and body health.
It won't help! Aerobics is just a form of exercise but it can't do much with weight losing.
I would suggest you to go for swimming or jogging. That'll be more effective. But must remember that no food is allowed right after the exercise.
that's fine.but i prefer to use my VCD and have my exercise at home instead of spending money out there.
I take and LOVE aerobics classes. I do step, spinning,20/20/20, Hi/LO, and a bunch of muscle conditioning classes.
They are great bc A) they work
B) working out with people is motivating and much more fun
C) you can get a variety of classes so youre not doing the same thing all the time
D) The instructor is there to ensure you are using proper form. improper form is dangerous and will lessen results.
So go for it!.Its a lot of fun and it works!
Interestingly, while the physical activity always helps..aerobic activity actually makes your body more EFFECEINT at burning fat.
In other words, down the road, your body will burn less fat for the same exercise.
That isn't what most people want.
Aerobic activity has very positive benefits (i.e. cardiovascular), but if you want to burn fat, add in some anaerobic stuff 3x/week.
Any form of exercise will help u lose weight..even sex.
bt it depends highly on ur diet..u must eat the rite stuff.

Actually, if you dun have alot of time to exercise, it is still possible to lose weight.
I lost 15kg within 2 months with the help of a detox programme and little exercise.
It was great cos it is natural.. and I did not just lose weight but also gained energy and radiance after that.
