I've struggled with weight for a LONG time.and as I get older, it becomes more apprent to me that i cant expect to be happy with myself until i am at a good weight.but how do i know what i am and WHERE I NEED TO BE?

Answers:
Fat only becomes a problem when it effects your health, if you're naturally chubby it doesn't matter...you are already at a perfect weight. Being skinny is easy for some people because it's genetically more predominant in their body shape. I go to the Gym and play footy but i drink too much and smoke quite often...even though i might look athletic it doesn't make me healthy. First thing you have to do is understand what type of body shape you have...to be really specific you'd have to see a doctor about how you feel about your weight. Alternatively you can find a person who you want to look like that is achievable, either in a magazine or for real...and then work on targeting the features on yourself to look more like your goal weight. An example would be me when i wanted to gain muscle i looked at a typical workout regime for a pro-football player and it took me 7 months to get to that point but it was worth it. Good luck :-)
your doctor can provide that info
You just try to take piece of fat out of your stomach and if u get a handful then ur fat

the best answer is go to your doctor and tell him what u told us muah bye bye
u know u are obese when ppl look more at ur elly then ur face or when ppl avoid looking at ur belly
There's something called the BMI - body mass index, which documents healthy weights for particular gender/height. You can check it out here:

It all comes down to your BMI. sparkpeople.com has a very good BMI checker and helps with goal setting in regards to fitness and nutrition. It stresses the importance of stretching and strength training and cardio - you should check it out. It's a great motivator and good way to realize what you're doing with your body and life.

Take care
