Can a receded gum line ever grow back?
My gum line has receded, will it ever grow back if I take care of my teeth?
Answers:
No.Well atleast not by prevention(brushing.etc.).I would advise you to brush properly as atleast brushing would prevent further gum reccession.
but if you really want some sort of treatment regarding your gum reccession you could get yourself checked by a PERIODONTIST(Specialist in study of gum and surrounding structures). There are treatments related to gum recession such as PERIODONTAL SURGERY(in which they try to decrease gum reccession).etc. you could get proper advise by getting checked by a periodontist
No, however you can prevent further gum recession by using soft-bristled brushes only and not brushing too hard. If the receded gumline really bothers you, try talking to a dentist. It is possible to get a graft, but they do not always take
go to the dentist they have a solution...one of my mothers friends had the same problem..she got it fixed but I dont remember how..minor surgery I think...
Unfortunately not.
NOPE !
No. Brush more carefully
No it can't.
You can help yourself by using sensadine toothpaste and keeping your teeth clean. The sensadine really works!
Once the gum's are gone they are gone. They never grow back. You brush your teeth in order to keep them healthy and cavity free. But did you know that you could actually be ruining your teeth and gums in the process ? Two out of three people apply too much pressure when brushing their teeth. Hard brushing actually destroys gums by driving gum tissue away from teeth.
My daughter needed gum grafts from a Periodontist who took grafts from the roof of her mouth and grafted it to the front of her gums under her lip on her bottom teeth. She is healing well and the grafts are pinking up nicely. She didn't have much problems with the grafts she got recently.
Receded gums will not grow back on it's own. You can go to a specialized dentist & they can repair the gums in 2 different ways. one is to take real thin strips from the roof of your mouth & add that to your gums. # 2 is to uses cadaver skin that has been processed & doesn't even look like skin. That will attach to your own gums & build them up. Your put under for either way. If it's taken from your own mouth it's more painful healing as you have 2 things to heal. I've had it done. Had no gum desease but brushed my gum line too hard for years.
no
The answer is YES..but depends on the severity..See a PERIODONTIST soon
