In what stage is dental tourism in India?
Is dental tourism flourishing in India. Are there well trained dentists who can cope up with the modern dental equipments and treatments? Does it cost only 20-30% of the cost in Europe?

It's a welcome question. In India corporate houses identified medical tourism as an avenue and is picking up slowly. The tourists are mostly from African countries and the middle east. State-of-the-art amenities are available as also human resource.
With regard to dental tourism, it's about a step behind medical tourism. The cost advantage is nothing but currency advantage and so it varies depending the currency.
In the next few years tourism in general and medical/dental tourism in particular is going to grow in greater proportions.
of course cost is very low, but for quality?? U have to think urself & ask someone who has already done any dental procedure there.
The wife of one of my friends went there to get some work done. She was from there so she did'nt pay for a place to stay and got to make a vacation out of it. That being said even after plane tickets and the money she spent on vacation it was half the U.S. cost.
Our Indian Dentist are on par with the best in the world and at a fraction of the cost in USA, England and other European countries.
