Any adults out there with braces??
Just wondering if there were any adult braces wearers, like myself. Do you love them or hate them?? I will be so glad when mine are off. My teeth are always sore! I have a year left to go though!

I got mine off almost a year ago. I had them put on when I was 20.
I had lingual braces on the top (on the back-side towards my tongue) and on the front on bottom.
It made me lisp when I talked for two years, I had a hard time eating, and my mouth was really sore fore a few weeks when I first got them on.
Eventually you get used to them and they don't seem so bad, but I was really happy when I got them off. My teeth were beautiful so it made the entire process worth it.
Just remember to wear your retainer.

oh, i got braces last summer, when i was 11, and now i only need them for another year, isn't that so cool, and yea my teeth do hurt when i get them adjusted, and when he adds new brackets on it hurts me for about a week, so it's normal, but not if it hurts all the time, maybe you should mention something to your orthodontist
I don't but my sister does she is now 30. She just got them on about 2 months ago at first she was real depressed about it now she is just fine.

I'm 25 and have been braced for two weeks now. I guess I can say I'm one of the lucky ones because I haven't had any sores or pain except for the first three days after being braced. You should use a lot of salt water rinse and wax on problem brackets. Good luck

my friend's mom has them, and she got them the same time as her daughter. They got them off at around the same time.
I also recently got my braces off, and I'm thrilled with the results. I found out that eating cold things or cold drinks helped with the soreness because it softened the wire temporarily.
im 21 just got them off and i just never cared if i got them or not .
