wisdom teeth?

my wisdom teeth ruptured a few years back and now that they are completely in i can see that they are a greyish color.all four of them. theyre not loose or soft or anything like that. does anyone know what might have caused this? I brush my teeth twice daily and none of my other teeth look like that

I am an oral surgeon and can answer your question - if your teeth are erupted (grown into the mouth) and you have room for them and can keep them clean, you don't need to have them removed. The grey color is probably due to taking some medication while they were developing in the jaw - maybe tetracycline, which causes staining of the tooth bud.

I thought you were supposed to get your wisdom teeth pulled because they can push your other teeth forward and get them out of line
I agree with Dr. Buck.

Youre pretty lucky that none of your molars were impacted! Although having your wisdom teeth out is not as horrific as some people make it out to be.
Good answer, Buck. This is not as common as it was 20 years ago, but it is still fairly common.
