I am an implant dentist. An alternative to dental implant placement is autogenous tooth transplants. I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to assist the surgery a while ago. Let me first explain: It is a surgical movement of a tooth from one location in the mouth to another in the same individual. For example. I can extract a healthy third molar and move to the site of an unrestorable first molar. Autotransplantation has a high success rates (80%) and is an excellent option for tooth replacement. Yours was done 25 years ago? If there is no symptom and radiographs determine no abnormality, I would say there is no reason for you have those teeth pulled. See your dentist for a check-up.

No they put fake teeth in the space.
What ? Never have heard about that .

I had a receptical attached to the bone and a false tooth attached to it. It is about the same strength as the other teeth.
