abnormal digital dental xray?

A dental X-ray was done via a digital machine using CCD sensors. The captured image did not look normal. One corner was extremely white, one large area was extremely black, and the teeth under study were barely shown. What possibly have caused all this?

Answers:
The sensor was placed wrong and the cone of the xray that sends the impulse wasn't directly over the sensor its called a cone cut. The extremely black was the setting of the x-ray machine, if the DDS goes from a traditional x-ray to digital you have to change the control settings, otherwise the image is dark. I hope the dentist still could see what they needed?

Not at all sure - but rather than worry about it - can you not phone the dentist today or tomorrow and get him to tell you? Chances are its nothing and it will save you days of worry.

Thats what I would do - cos I absolutely detest having to worry. Good luck, anyway.
