what can i do to stop griting my teeth in my sleep?
Answers:
~~~ ok,,,,first of all,,,the guy EURKELALL that said tell your Dr that you want teeth extractions?? umm,,,thats sooo not what you need,,,,,
See your dentist and talk to him about nightguards,,,this will not stop your "grinding" per say,,,but it will help prevent from grinding down the occlusion off your teeth. Grinding can cause headaches,,,,TMJ and other complications,,,you can get a hard/soft nightguard,,,if you have been grinding for a long time,,you may need to get hard if you have no retention left. You can go to your local drug store and buy a night guard for about $20,,,,and do it your self if you want extreem temporary help untill your Dr fits you for your own,,,wearing the one from the drug store should not be worn for a long time,,,could alter your bite~~~
use a pacifier. Suck it like a thumb. Try a boxing mouthpiece, too.
My wife has a mouth guard to prevent her from grinding her teeth in her sleep. It's lightweight, easy to keep clean, and she got used to it pretty quickly. See your dentist to be sure it is appropriate for you. Best of luck!
lay off the crank..
ask your doctor. Tranquilizers usually help.
get a fitted mouthpiece from your dentist (which will also help if you snore)
See a dentist and tell him that you want teeth extractions.
go to the dentist and he can order you a mouth guard
thank you
