Baking Soda?

Okay, so I took the advice that's been posted on here that baking soda whitens your teeth, but how do you make it work most effectively? Do you apply it directly to teeth or mix it with water to make a paste first?

Answers:
both - you can dip your brush into it to get a thin coating on the bristles, and brush your teeth as normal.

and use it as a mouthwash (about 1 teaspoon in a cup of water)

I did this a few times before going to my dentist, and the dentist did not have to scrape or polish - as there was nothing to remove...
Wet the toothbrush under the tap, then dip the brush in the baking soda.
put a tablespoon on baking soda in your mouth, then quickly drink some lemonade...

the results will be incredible... and amusing.
wet the toothbrush and apply a pinch of soda

you can buy toothpaste with baking soda but you will pay an extra 50p for the "special" ingredient.
why not just clean your teeth more often and dont use stupid things like baking soda which ruins the enamel on your teeth
or even better stop being so vain?

I think you are the sad one luv for being so desperate to have white teeth you will use baking soda!

Buy some whitening tooth past or a commercial product.

It is marketed as a whitening agent but I cannot see how it can work because it does not give up any oxygen.

Do not swallow it because it is a powerful laxative.
I am not sure who pass you the idea to use baking soda. Baking soda is very alkaline in nature. I dilute 2g in 300ml of water to fight acid problem. It is best not to apply onto your teeth directly.
