BRACES! tips please?

It depends on spacers, I had mine for 2 and a half weeks. Braces only hurt after you get them on and after you get them off (not as bad as getting them on). It will hurt a little but you will get through it! It only hurts for about a week. I am an eleven year old too! Well twelve in about a week! Just eat soft foods and do not eat hard food and you will be fine. I have braces and headgear! But it is not so bad!
2 WEEKS NO IT WILL NOT BE PAINFUL GOOD LUCK
Braces aren't too bad, and the results are great! I had braces for a few years, you need to be careful not to hit your lips on things or get hit in the face w/a ball or something because they can cut the inside of your mouth. There's lots of new stuff out now-a-days. I saw dental wax that you put on top of the brackets so that your gums don't get cut up.. Also these neat little brushes to get imbetween the wires and your teeth when brushing.
As to the pain... They weren't too bad. Usually after having an appointment was the worst because they would adjust everything. Make sure you have extra rubberbands incase they snap and also be sure you don't miss appointments.
Good luck!
it will but it will be ok
i had to wear them when i first got my braces, usually about 2 to 3 weeks depending on your mouth... but when you get your braces it will only be sore for a day or 2 at the most, and braces actually just got smaller this year so, just make sure you brush everywhere in your mouth even under your tounge and on the roof of your mouth, everyday, twice a day... nothing you have to worry about!
welcome hope that helps,

I had braces put in when I was 17 and they didn't hurt one bit, so don't worry! You will have to wear retainers after the braces come out though. But none of this is painful at all. :)
But do remember that you cannot chew on hard stuff (e.g. bite an apple, eat corn on the cob) when you have braces, or your teeth might move out of place! One of my teeth moved a little out of place when I tried biting into corn after my braces came out, so do bear that in mind!
When you get spacers, you generally will get them about a week before the braces go on. The actual process of putting braces on is not bad at all, it doesn't hurt a bit. Afterwards it's more of a pressure on your teeth, and there will probably be some pain. It's not unbearable though, it's just like a dull ache. Good luck! I just got braces today.
