Is it normal for the archwire running thru my brackets to be loose?
Here's another dental question! I just got my braces put on a week ago and in addition to dealing with the regular pains of soreness, I noticed that there is one part of my archwire that is extremely loose on the lower right teeth. There is absolutely no tension. And the wire tie around bracket is wiggling. Is this normal? It's only been a week and the rest of the archwire running thru my brackets DO have tension.

That doesnt sound totally normal to me but all mouths are different and it could be normal for you. Call your dentist. I got braces last week.. for the second time. and something didnt feel right in my mouth. I called my dentist and he was really nice and talked to me about it. I told him all about it and he told me what to do and what to look for. Your dentist will be happy to help you. Braces are a pain and they know that so are willing to help in anyway they can.
i would say go back to the orthodontist. that wasn't normal with mine. call and ask and see what they say and make an appointment
I had that happen before. Just go back to the ortho. They will put something on it to help it from not slipping.
