If you're a registered dental assistant, how can you obtain the title "expanded function?"?
Answers:
This varies by state, but another board examination would be required. In NJ, we call it "RDA," for registered. In PA, they call it "EFDA," for expanded function. Duties vary GREATLY by state. In NJ, there's not terribly much even an RDA can do. In PA, they can do almost anything except drill on a tooth or cut tissue.
