has anyone had inplants?

would welcome any knowledge about dental inplants, anyones experiences.

I am in the process of getting an implant right now. So far it's been a very positive experience. I had my implant placed about 2 months ago, after letting the bone mesh with the implant, in December I will have an abutment attached to the implant, and then have a crown built around the abutment. I have a good friend who is a dental assistant and based on her advice and all of the research I did, if you can afford it, I think implants are the only way to go for replacing missing teeth. Implants are very solid and permanent, unlike bridges or partials. Also, implants do not affect any neighboring teeth unlike bridges and partials which require the shaving down of neighboring teeth in order to place crown over them to hold the bridge.

Nope but my ex had ball implant, I think. They did not look natural!LOL!
yes i had the top and bottoms done in Prague the UK was far to expensive £10.000 Prague was £3.000 and well worth it too

yes I have 2 implants replacing 2 molars,i am also a dental asst. I highly recommend them they replace the the root structure and the crown. they are the best form of tooth replacement. first they place a titanium pin in the bone structure and wait for about 6 months so the implant will integrate with the bone then a crown is made and cemented on the implant just like you never lost the tooth.The procedure probably sounds pain full, but when mine were placed a patient had canceled their appt. so I hopped in the dental chair had the implants placed it only took about an hour then worked the rest of the day with only Advil. the average cost is around $2500 to $3000 please make sure your dentist has had plenty of experience placing implants.
