Fixed Bridge?

just wanting opinions of these from people who have them.

ive recently had a tooth extration on my foot tooth and my other one is bonded (so both damaged), my dentist recommed an implant and a veener on my other tooth, so i agreed but it turns out i don't have enough bone for my implant so need a bone graft and need a bit of bone taken from my jaw to put in my gum (all amounting to a huge bill) £3100.

i'm giving serious concideration to a fixed bridge, as said one of my teeth is already damaged aswell as the gap from my other tooth extration so i may only have to one tooth filed down for it.

what would you do if you were me? well i've got to wait now 2 months for my bone graft, then 6 months for it to heal before i can have an implant, then i need my impant to heal for 6 months :/

sounds a lot of messing around and expensive and painful proceedures i'm going to have to through...ive been through a

i'm 25 so need something that looks good and to last me at least 50 years

I have two fixed bridges and they're pretty good. I've had them for ten years, since I was 15, and one of them broke recently, but that's because my teeth have shifted slightly in ten years. They look good and there was no pain involved! If I could afford it I'd probably get implants. They're more permanent and you never have to worry about them breaking (as far as I know). But bridges are great on the whole. I know people who've gone to Budapest for cheap dental treatment, but that's another story.
You really should go to another dentist to get a second opinion if you question your dentist's proposed method. But I think I have what your dentist is suggesting, my dentist called it a post. It is a metal "rod", or post, implanted in my bone and a fake tooth is very securely affixed to it. So you asked for an opinion. I like the post, when they first implanted it, it looked completely natural, in fact the dental assistants felt they had to double check with me to make sure they were working on the right tooth. However, the post has shiffted and I now have a gap. I think though it will be really easy to fix and if I went to the dentist regularly for check-ups I am sure this would have been avoided. So although it sounds like you will have to go through a big mess to have it done, I know for a fact that posts look very real and I have never had any problem with it coming out, unlike bridges. Good luck!
Ive had different problems with my tooth but i can give you this advise that, of course it's worthed IF, the dentist is experienced and use good quality stuff and if you can afford it and most off all, when done, you're set for long time.
Now, having said that, you have to come to the conclusion that, if you don't go for it, can you cope the existing status, meaning the look and comfort when you're eating and so on. I had had my braces for almost a year. Ya, it was painful and discomforting, but i do it again, considering before and after! good luck!
