Neck and jaw, and mouth pain?

My 12 yr old daughter had sealent placed on her back teeth on Friday and by Friday night she was in a lot of pain. She still is and it is now Sunday. I called the dentist he gave her antibotics but they do not seem to be working. She does not eat because it hurts. I give her Motrin and use hot packs, But she is still in pain. Has anyone had simler problems with sealants before? And do you have any suggestions witch may help her.

Answers:
Perhaps it's not the sealant but rather that she had her mouth open for an extended period of time while the dentist was doing his thing. The muscles of the neck and jaw might be in spasm which would cause pain. ("TMJ") If that's the case, try gently massaging the area of muscles just below the cheekbones and have her stretch the muscles by placing her tongue on the roof of her mouth and open the jaw bit by bit. If it's TMJ, and the pain continues, there are physical therapists that could treat her.
THE SEALERS ARE TOO HIGH..THEY NEED TO BE GROUND DOWN SO THAT SHE DOES NOT BITE ON IT. ANITBIOTICS AND PAINKILLERS WILLNOT HELP
