i dont think it hurts that much when you are actually getting them on, i mean, its not the most pleasent feeling in the world, but it is not so bad. what is worse is the next day or so, you're mouth will be sore and you probobly will be having trouble eating hard things. but hey, its different for everyone. maybe you won't be as sore as the next person. as for colors, go for your favorite ones.
when you first get your braces on, it hurts
they hurt like crazy for about two weeks, but i think you should get the color blue they'll look good on you.
Getting the braces on shouldn't hurt..what hurts is the monthly adjustments. Your teeth will get sore but it will only last 2-3 days. With you just being 10, the braces shouldn't be that bad, cause you're still growing and developing. It hurts adults more because they've reached their growth peek and their teeth are set. I have braces and I also work in an orthodontic office.I use to put braces on but now I'm the lab tech. and make retainers. You will get retainers when you get your braces off. Wear them or your teeth will move back.I've had braces twice.
Also, when you get braces, listen to the orthodontic tech. when they tell you to watch what you eat, cause if you pop off a bracket, then you'll be in braces longer. good luck
They don't hurt at all...they are somewhat painful but they dont hurt. I personally have just silver because it looks better, but since you are 10 you might wanna play it up. The spacers are probably the part that hurts the worst...to be honest...you dont have wisdom teeth yet...they are probably ur 12 yr molars and those are bands...they actually hold the braces...the wire goes through them. you probably wont get a retainer until after you get your braces off. its amazing how young they put braces on kids. Just take some advil or motrin and go in. after you get them changes it will be sore but it will go away in a couple days...just eat soft foods and maybe swish with salt water...just think, you will have perfect teeth at the end and it is all worth it.good luck
