Anyone else think having toothache is more painful than giving birth?
I've had Endometriosis and given birth twice but nothing compares to the pain when you have an abscess or tooth problem.
Answers:
I agree with you...
When giving child birth it is a pain that you forget about the second you hold that new born child in your arms for the first time or see that child for the first time.
When having a toothache from an abscess or anything associated with it.that is a pain that is hard to endure and there is nothing pleasurable that is going to take your mind off of it.
If you have an abscess then I feel for you, I really do.
There is nothing more painful.
You must have had very easy childbirth. Lucky.
Yeah sure if you have an epidural a toothache could be more painful.
i haven't given birth but i've had extensive work on my teeth and yes, it's hurts a sh*t load.
I agree.. I have only one child - but I have been in much more pain with toothache
Ive never given birth but tooth ache is bad man.Slightly worse than ear ache.
That is not the way that I hear it. I have had bad toothaches but the pain can be ended pretty quick with help from a dentist. Going into first labor for 36 hours is a lot worse and it doesn't stop as quickly.
And of course the dentist can give you a lot of painkiller without worrying that it will harm the tooth but an obstetrician has to balance your pain problems against the health of the baby.
i`ve never given birth but i`ve had work done on my teeth and it sure hurts a lot
it hurts i knew
Having given birth and having a toothache - the toothache is soo much worse.
yes i agree i have two kids and have had countless tooth aches and i tell u what ill take havin a hundredmore kids thn another tooth ache.
well i must say, i havent given birth yet, seeing as im only 14! lol but still, its gd 2 no!
I don't know. but I have an unanswerable question:
What is more pain full, giving birth, or being kicked in the balls?
Yes - I've cried with toothache, but I never did giving birth.
ugh..that is awful. You poor thing.
A toothache hurts like nothing else in the world. Chop my right arm off first before i get another tooth ache.
It depending how long this pains last. ussually and unfortunately the tooth ache is much longer than the procces of give birth. but of curse, this is about standard "measures?"
Toothache blows up my head..
Yes, it's true! I had a tooth problem for about 2 years b/c I was deathly afraid to go to the dentist, but I finally went and they pulled the tooth out. The relief of not having pain anymore was so great.
It got so bad at one point, I was taking 8 Tylenol's at once just to get the pain to stop for 2-3 hours. It was making the whole side of my head hurt, my ear, my throat, my shoulder.it was horrible pain.
Toothaches are pretty bad. I would agree, but I have squeezed out an almost 12 lb baby (not cesarean) and got a 4th degree tear. And I had 2 more babies after that, one at 10 lbs.
However, toothache pain is pretty much constant, and childbirth pain comes in waves, so it's easier to tolerate.
that's what I thought but after 22 hours in labour I changed my mind.you must have been lucky
yes I agree. I've had 4 kids & none of them come close to a
toothache or headache in the eyes.
I know what you mean.
Child birth is limited. It is over soon. But toothaches are non-stop
The pain involves your neck & ear sometimes.
It is unbearable. You can't sleep, nor eat.
how am i suppose to know?
I have 4 kids and would gladly have more if I never had to return to the dentist.
My Mom says even after having seven kids naturally, that YES, a toothache is much much more painful.
i totally agree with you. i have just had to have two weeks off work with tooth ache. oh my god the pain. had two lots of anti biotics, and still no joy.as silly as it sounds it wasn't until about the fourth day i could tell which tooth was hurting. in the end after a week with visiting the dentist every day he finally decided to take my old filling out and replace it with a new one. i felt that embarrassed about keep going but i was at my wits end. i even had to go the doctors for stronger pain killers. the dentist and i are on first name terms now, feels like i have known him for years.ha ha. by the way i have given birth, and i would rather do that any day than be in the pain that i was in with my tooth!
oh yes. absolutely. I gave birth in 5 hours, no complications and yes, it hurt, but after my son was born it was over, no more pain. I had a bad tooth, it really hurt, they took it out it still hurt, my face was numb, it got infected and it took me 2 weeks to get over it!
I agree, pain is easily controlled when giving birth but i have had a tooth ache now for about a week and no amount of meds seems to take the pain away!
I woudn't know
I have given birth twice but the pain of toothache is ten times worse especially if is your wisdom teeth,i have the pain right now n i would prefer to be in labour again
