if you go to the den test and don't get what you ask for should you sue him?

should you get what you ask for or should he give you what he think you should have

Answers:
You and the dentist both have a choice to deal with each other or not. If the dentist does not "give you what you want," go somewhere else.

If you already got what you didn't want, if you can prove malpractice, go for it. You can not give a dentist permission to COMMIT malpractice, though. In other words, if what you wanted was clearly the wrong thing or simply could not be done, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to substantiate malpractice was committed.

they should give you what you came there for but they don't . I went to the dentist for front tooth bonding and he did a root canal that took like 4mos. and never did the bonding on the front tooh and I believe my insurance co. I had at the time paid him for this service in advance. But I don't know if you can sue him.
You go to the dentist to get a professional opinion. They are trained and under oath to provide to you the best possible services. They are not out to get you, and if they do, then they give honest hard working dentists a bad rep. Trust what they recommend, and if you do not like it, seek a second opinion!
I guess it depends on what you wanted, I would discuss it with them before making any rash decisions. If you don't trust your dentist then maybe you need to find another dentist. They have review boards that are manned by local dentists to review any complaints you could always look into. Look in the phone book under Dentists for your local Dental Society.
Depends on what you asked for. If a patient walked in and asked for all their healthy teeth to be pulled out and he/she didn't do it, then you'd hardly have a case.

What is up with all the "sue everybody" stuff? Has anyone thought of trying to resolve disagreements without lawyers and courts?

Maybe you should add more information as to what actually happened.
unless you went to dental school how can you know what you NEED. Sometimes needs and wants dont correlate. The dentist has to do whats best for you and inform you beforehand.
