I have had braces for a while and i was wondering if...?

i can play trumpet? i really want to learn but my dad told me that since i have braces they might get messed up by playing trumpet

Answers:
Sure seen it done many times.
of course you can!! :)
You'll probably be fine since you never actually put your lips around the trumpet mouth piece. All you do is press your lips against it. It may be uncomfortable, but it shouldn't effect your braces or your trumpet playing adversely.
You can play trumpet. If you start before you get them, you have to learn where to plac eyour lips. if you get them first should be no trouble
no it wont be messed up, you can play your tumpet, dont worry
