My gums turned white after using aquafresh white trays?
Answers:
yes it is normal...
usually if you read the directions/warning pamphlet it might say to keep the whitening solution off of your gums/lips because it can cause your skin to turn white.
You are really putting bleach on your skin (which is a whitining chemical that does hurt if you come into contact with it and don't wash it off immediately)
Your white gums and soreness will go away after a few hours.
Don't worry, you're fine!
Check to see if there is any peroxide in the stuff, if so then thats most likely why..
It always happens. It will go away and it means you have sensitive teeth and gums if it hurts. Try every other day!
You probably don't floss as much as you should and your gums are not in top condition. The hydrogen peroxide in the whitener turned your gums white, which should go away overnight. It's like dead skin that needs to slough off.
its the peroxide in the product. ur using to much because its not supposed to get on ur gums.
actually if your gums turned white/pale it means you have normal gums, if your gums turned red means there is something wrong or not health. it's ok, dont worry too much ;)
what happened is you over filled your whitening trays with the bleach. Just add a little dab in each part of the trays, then place the trays in your mouth and push the bleach against your teeth. You will see if you over filled your tray, and if you did then just wipe the excess off with a tissue. The colouring of your gums will return back to normal within a day.
