have you had your wisdom teeth out? how long did it take to heal up again?
Answers:
Yep mine are out. One was impacted. Very difficult ordeal. Took about 2 weeks to feel better. The others were pulled easily. Dentist used gas. Didn't feel a thing. Recovery was about 4 days.
After a few weeks, you don't even notice that any teeth are missing. I hope none of your wisdom teeth are impacted. Good Luck.
Yes- I had all four of mine cut out at once. It took a few days and a whole lot of vicodin!
It took me two months before my tooth heal complete
I had my top 2 pulled a week before Christmas and came home and put the tree up and decorated. My bottom two were impacted but I still felt ok about 2 days later. It's not too bad.
yes i had 2 taken out as i kept getting severe pain in them. i hated having them taken out as i was awake. i suggest geting put to sleep. didnt take long to heal 2 or 3 weeks
i never had any swelling or pain.
I had to have stitches after mine was taken out - took about 2 weeks to feel really better and comfortable with it
Remember to follow the Doc's instructions. You don't want dry socket.
Also, you will want to buy a bunch of Carnation Instant Breakfasts. You can't eat solid food, & heat is a bad idea.
Bottomtook 3 weeks and a whole lot of pain/swelling. Top took 2 weeks w/ not al ot of pain/swelling. Hope this helps. But it also depends on if they have already erupted or if the doctor has to break the jaw bone to get them out or not.
It doesn't take very long about 1-2weeks
It's not all that bad. Couple a days and few good pills and you will be good as new.
Well having reached the grand old age of 37 without any sign of then (and being told by several dentists that I never would) I've got one on its way.So I look foreward to reading the rest of the answers to this question with an impending sense of doom!
Ive had all mine out. The last one took about 2 months to totally heal (as in the hole to heal up). The pain lasted for about a week. Wasn't bad after the first few days. xx
I had my top ones taken out a couple years apart from when I had my bottom ones out and had no problem recuperating at all both times -- in fact, I'd say it took just a day to feel better (I even walked home from the dentist's office because my stupid friend didn't come to pick me up). The anesthetic made me a bit loopy, though the first time (I was very emotional), but I would still recommend being heavily medicated and possibly put to sleep. Having the dentist pull your teeth out and listening to that grinding sound is terrible!
It's not as bad as some of the horror stories people tell you. I didn't swell up or bruise. I got all 4 out under general anaesthetic and the only bad thing I can remember is how dry my mouth was when I woke up and they wouldn't give me any water.
I've had my 2 top ones out, the last one i had taken out march 05 and it took it about 6-9 months to totally close over. I think it really depends on the person, we all heal at different rates.
Hey, I had the gas when I got all 4 of my teeth taken out and all of them were impacted. It took about 2 weeks until I could really eat anything I wanted without feeling anything. Yet, my stitches took forever to disolve and fall out.. like maybe a month?
I had my wisdom teeth extracted. If all goes well they heal fairly quickly however, I had what is called a "dry socket". What that means is the blood clot that forms under the gum tissue comes out. It is very painful so if you have recently had them extracted follow all of the instructions given especially do not use straws.
I had my wisdom teeth pulled but they were basically all the way out...i waited way too long and my teeth started to shift because my wisdom teeth came in and my mouth was crowded. My face blew up but by the next day it was no big deal. Get them pulled. I have to wear braces for a year and half now to fix the shifted teeth.
Yes, although mine were deeply impacted so were suckers to pull out apparently.
I had all 4 out and it took just over two weeks.
I had 3 very impacted wisdom teeth surgically removed by an oral surgeon and I had some pain (soreness) the first day. After that I was fine but I was swollen for about 2-3 days. No problems though. Everyone's experience is different but not all are bad so be careful listening to friends' experiences in trying to scare you. Take care and good luck.
