It is not uncommon for an infection from a tooth to spread to the throat, tonsils, ears, even up into the sinuses. You have a serious infection though. Get the infection under control before having the dental work.

Maybe see your doctor. You might need to switch to a different antibiotic. It would be much safer to have the root canals done after the infection has passed. If not then you will heal slower and experience some pain, aside from other dangers.

no root canals.. get the two teeth yanked.

i never seen a root canal work.
A natural solution is to make a paste of ground flax seed and castor oil and pack it into your gum area where you are having the problem. Do this every night while you sleep and it will draw the infection out of your body. Make sure you spit it out every morning. If you notice that it is a dark color, that means it's working.
I'm surprise you are not more concerned with the pain. I would guess that while you body is fighting one kind of infection, its would have more trouble fighting others.
If the teeth have already abscessed, you are better off getting the root canals started ASAP, given that you are already on antibiotics. Opening the infected teeth will help them drain. Do not attempt to use the previously suggested topical remedies--let your dentist do the treatment. Good luck!
