Dental problem. has anyone ever heard of this?
I have been having pain in my mouth for a few weeks now. Its on the top right side, in the back. I thought I was getting a cavity. but I put it off because I dont have dental insurance.
After a while, I realized that to pain isnt coming from my tooth. its coming from my gum line.
Anyway. I stuck my finger down there (eww, I know) and felt around. I discovered that my gums are bulging out. It doesnt feel soft like its swollen. rather, its hard as a rock with soft gum tissue above it. like a tooth is starting to come in at a weird angle but hasnt broken the surface yet.
That is honestly what it feels like. like a tooth is coming in.
The weird thing, though, is that I am 26 years old and have already had my wisdom teeth pulled when I was 17.
Could this be possible? What might be wrong?
Answers:
if you don't have insurance, then you need to find a dentist who can put you on a payment plan, because if you let something like that go, it's only going to get worse and more expensive to treat.
Sounds like wisdome teeth to me so maybe not all of them were developed when you had some removed.
Also, could be a small tumor that is surfacing. Usually not dangerous but you really should see a dentist right away.
Good luck.
You've probably had an impacted molar that is now surfacing as your wisdom teeth have been removed and you have a bit of space
but you probably don't have enough space so it is coming out either in front (buccal gum surface) or behind (lingual gum surface) where it should be
It happens
Some people have really bad teeth that do this lots.
some people have been know to grow extra sets of teeth. It is a possibility. And maybe you have an abcess.
You need to go see a dentist. You might need to get a crown put on (painful but not to bad) but if you wait to long. You will need a root conel, VERY PAIN FULL (at least that's what my dentist tells me, I've never had to get one) But I have had a crown and the worse part of that is getting the impression of your tooth. Anyways, As long as ALL you wisdom teeth are out I'm pretty sure you are not getting a new tooth.
Are you sure they were all pulled? Might be a tooth or other growth. Could be an infection. Either way you have to go in to get it checked out.
It is possible that you are growing more wisdom teeth. My sister had t hree sets come in. It is not likely, but it is not unhear of. Get it checked out!
Whatever it is needs taken care of PRONTO! Dentists will take payments.
Dont live with the pain. Pain is the bodies cue that it needs help. The longer you wait the worse the pain will get and the worse the condition will get.
Would you rather have to pay a little and get some antibiotics or something, or have to pay ALOT because they have to put you under to surgically remove part of your gums and/or jaw because of infection and rot??
Just go to the dentist.
It could be a lot of things -- including an absessed tooth. Sometimes the absess pushes the roots against the gums -- so you could be feeling that.
You may not have dental insurance -- but you have to see a dentist about this right away. If you need a root canal, putting it off could just make it a lot more expensive -- not to mention a lot more painful.
The only way to really know is to see a dentist. If you ask (ahead of time), most dentists are willing to work out a payment plan that is right for the patient's budget.
Good luck!
