How do you stop pain from braces?
Answers:
I have braces and what i usually do is take an asprin but sometimes i have a milkshake it will efinatley help the pain away or if the pieces r sticking up u should use the wax that ur dentist gave u
Asprin.or you can get that stuff that numbs your gums.
topical anbesol (baby teething med) or tylenol. I have a friend that works at a dentist office and gave my daughter that numbing gel they give you before shots. She says it helps.
Try putting a small piece of ice in your mouth. For me, at least it provided a distraction from the pain.
Drink 2 motrin 800mg that will do it .
Have your dentist adjust them.
I'm assuming you're talking about braces on your teeth. Before you go to the orthodontist for your brace tightening, take Tylenol or 200-400 mg of ibuprofen. Then four to six hours later do it again. It will help cut down on the pain.
Asprin, some oral gel, Ice, sometimes even heat helps.
if the braces are cutting, coat the sharp area in wax. If the teeth are hurting, try a little clove oil or anbesol.
Take ibuprofen or naproxen. Call your orthodontist and ask him HOW much to take.
CHANGE IT OR TALK TO DOCTOR
Unfortunately Aspirin is the best answer. An anti-inflammatory would work well. Are you having issues with rubbing inside your cheek?Wax or use Canker sore medicine. It can actually help numb this. I know it hurts, it feels like someone has a constant vice grip tightening it on your jaw. If you are talking about the general pain, and not rubbing, Tylenol is the safest. I'm so sorry it hurts, I've been there. If you just had them put in or tightened the pain should ease a lot within a week or so, More if they're new. If it doesn't stop, contact your dentist, there could be a problem. (Rinsing with Listerine also helps numb the mouth a bit too.)
If its a brace you can remove then the best advice that I can give you is to put wax that you can buy from the orthadontist.
If it is a fixed brace then you can use the wax again.
If you meant pain on your teeth then there isno real way of getting rid of the pain. my daughter has braces and she says the best way of getting rid of the pain is to eat how you normally eat because it makes your teeth get used to eating which reduces the pain.
If the person who has braces is old enough then you could try a pain relief tablet. READ THE LABEL THOUGH! one should relief the pain.
Just remember the pain will be worth it because you`ll have straight teeth.
Think positive
Good Luck.
Aspirin but if you don't want to take medication try to eeze the pain by eating a milkshake but try most of the time to use aspirin
