How many times have people complained that braces hurt?

Pls, deal w/ it. I've had mine on for the past five years (miscommunication in the ortho, perio, and prostho departments), and I've survived. Heck, I don't even remember the pain. It was more like discomfort.

How about you cringe your teeth and bare with it?

I enjoyed my braces. I had such messed up teeth..I would go through with it all over again. I was begging for braces and it was worth it. As I remember, I didn't suffer that much. Only times I suffered is when they tightened the braces and my mom would cook a delicious steak dinner the same night (pure torture)
Or when my teeth were so sensitive from the tightening and then I would sneeze and slam my teeth together, has that happened to anybody. Man that hurt!

It's just uncomfortable. But i RATHER GO THROUGH PAIN THEN HAVE SOME CROKKED *** TEETH THAT LOOK LIKE A LITTLE PIRAHNA!
Beauty is pain, the end result is worth it.I think! I had them for 3 years!
wow well arent u being a lil harsh. i've had my braces for two years and sometimes my teeth hurt from tightning or when i first had my braces on. u dont have to be telling ppl to just shut up and suck it up.
Yes there are many people complaining about their braces but everyone experience different levels of pain. You might be a toughfy and were able to handle it but not everyone could. They are entitled to share their experiences and if you don't like it, then don't get involve.
