last year I went to the local dental school to have some work done on my teeth. They removed one of my molars but unfortunately they left a piece of this tooth in my jaw. To add insult to injury it is very sharp and as the swelling went down it has sliced my gum open. Is there anything I should be worried about if I try to dig the chip out with a pocket knife?? and for extra credit am I liable if I find the dental student who did this to me and feed it to him?

get back to the dental school to show this and have them do it right=they are obligated to do so=good luck
It might actually be bone not part of the tooth. Bone is broken when teeth are extracted and sometimes it is not reabsorbed back into the body like it should be. I would go back and have them check. By the way students at dental schools are just that- students.
You really need to see a dentist. go with a discount dental plan. I have AMeriplan and the saving are great. It's not insurance so there are no restrictions or limitations. The phone # is 1-800-784-1719
